Forum on Sexual Exploitation in Tyler, TX

East Texas is not immune to prostitution and sex trafficking. Please join Congressman Louie Gohmert, Representative Matt Schafer, Senator Bryan Hughes, Sheriff Larry Smith, FBI Agent Josh Mathews, DA Jacob Putnam, and many of our local agencies as they share the state of this issue in our community. Our leaders will provide information and resources to equip us to be informed and provide us ways to take action.
We will have two panel discussions followed by a Q&A session. We will offer resources to fight pornography addiction in the church. We suggest a $5 donation for lunch. Lunch starts at 11:30AM followed by the program. Location: Green Acres Baptist Church in Crosswalk.

This dinner is a celebration of life. Refuge of Life ministers and provides aftercare to young girls victimized by child sex trafficking through education, housing, counseling, pet therapy, mentoring programs and much, much more. This evening will, first and foremost, reflect the mission of Christ...Love. The guest speaker will be Debbie Stuart, Green Acre’s very own Women’s Minister. Debbie will share the redemptive story of God’s love for us in an ever changing and hurting world.

CityFest East Texas with Andrew Palau

CityFest East Texas will be a two-day event from the afternoon into the evening. The festival will kick off with a Family Fun Zone and Actions Sport’s zone. The Family Fun Zone will have inflatables, face painting, Gospel bracelets, and a Kid’s Stage. On the Kid’s Stage will be a variety of entertainment – from dancing to magicians. The Gospel will be presented by ventriloquist, Mark Thompson. Action Sports will have both FMX and BMX demonstrations by The Stunt Dudes. Halfway through their program, a biker will give their testimony with a chance to respond to the Gospel.

The main stage program begins in the evening. We typically have two performers amidst testimonies and CityFest recap. Then Andrew Palau gives a message of hope with a chance to respond. Following Andrew will be a headline artist like TobyMac or Hillsong. Festival Friends will be at all areas to collect information that can be passed on to local pastors to allow responders to get plugged into churches. *interpreter for the Deaf provided

Nightwalk For Hope

On the evening of Saturday, April 27th, we will come together as a community to shine a light on human trafficking in east Texas.

This family-friendly event includes multiple food trucks, bounce houses, music, face-painting, yard games, and more. As the sun sets around 8:15pm we conclude the night with a 2-mile walk on a section of the Rose Rudman trail.

Each participant will carry a lantern to light our way and to symbolize hope in the darkness.

40-50 volunteers are needed for this event.
